Andrew Body intends to enter the NCAA transfer portal, according to multiple reports. The junior quarterback will depart Texas Southern's football program after two highly productive seasons with the Tigers.

He has completed 222 passes for 2,839 yards, 15 touchdowns, and 12 interceptions. Body added rushing for 887 yards and six touchdowns at Texas Southern.

In 2021, the Corpus Christi native was voted the SWAC Newcomer of the Year. Also, he was a 2023 SWAC Preseason 2nd-Team Quarterback of the Year candidate behind Florida A&M's Jeremy Moussa.

The 6-1, 190-pound quarterback decided to redshirt this season following the loss to Prairie View A&M in the Labor Day Classic. His shoulder injury from the 2022 season-finale against Alabama A&M didn't completely heal.

However, Andrew Body is a competitor and attempted to help his team win the historic match-up versus the Panthers. During the contest, he threw for 286 yards, three touchdowns, and three interceptions as the Tigers fell 37-34 in an overtime heartbreaker at Shell Energy Stadium.

His dual-threat ability will make him a highly-coveted quarterback for most HBCU and FCS programs. Andrew Body could remain in Texas while Prairie View searches for senior Trazon Connley's successor this offseason.
