The Oklahoma State Cowboys take on the Oklahoma Sooners on Saturday for what will be the final Bedlam matchup for the foreseeable future. This matchup is huge for the Cowboys. The Sooners nearly dropped a game to UCF two weeks ago and lost to Kansas this past weekend.

With the Cowboys carrying momentum into this one, they've got a huge opportunity to get on the right side of the Big 12 standings. A win would put them in the driver's seat to make the Big 12 Championship game.

The Sooners will have to keep an eye on their star linebacker as Danny Stutsman suffered a knee injury against Kansas. Stutsman has 73 total tackles on the season and has quite literally been in the center of the Sooners' defensive resurgence.

The junior linebacker has been a star all season, and the Sooners defense needs his presence on the field, especially in a game of the magnitude of Bedlam.

Fortunately for Oklahoma, the linebacker sounds quite optimistic about his recovery.

“I’m great. Doing everything I can to be ready to go. Just always getting that treatment, recovery so I can heal up the body, heal up the mind," Stutsman said during a weekly radio appearance with The Franchise.

Again, Stutsman was at the center of the Sooners transforming their defense. It doesn't look the same without him, and they'll need him and his leadership on the field as they try and tame an Oklahoma State offense that has been running rampant over the past few weeks.

As mentioned, the final Bedlam will have real Big 12 stakes in it, and this makes each team being healthy that much more important. It'll be interesting to see if Stutsman is able to recover and make his way back to the field to play in Stillwater on Saturday.

The Cowboys host the Sooners at 2:30 p.m. CT and the game will be broadcast on ABC.
