Best bets for NCAAF Week 12: Trojans 'O' worth a go

We are running out of weeks and this is one of the last regular ones with Thanksgiving and rivalries coming up thereafter. Championship week can be a tough one so now is the time to put to use all of the things we have learned ... or so the theory goes. Nothing is easy when it comes to the betting markets. Just when you think you have it figured out, they zag.

Best Bets for Week 12

SMU @ Memphis
Saturday, noon ET
Tigers +8.5

SMU is leaving the AAC in the near future and that has to irk Memphis. The Tigers are getting left in the dark a little. These are the top two scoring teams in the conference and offense is going to keep the Tigers in this one at home. I just don't see the Mustangs running away from them. Plus the back door is going to be wide open.

Just make sure you get a full 7 points to work with. This one might come down a little.

Hawaii @ Wyoming
Saturday, 2 p.m. ET

Cowboys -13.5

I do not know what happened last week with Air Force and Hawaii (and I got burned by it). It will be different this week for the Warriors, making a tough trip to Laramie. The Wyoming defense is going to stymie them and once things start heading south it will be an avalanche. There is no way they are not overvalued this weekend.

Similar to above, make sure you get the good number, under -14.

Utah @ Arizona
Saturday, 2:30 p.m. ET

Utes +1

I know Arizona is much improved and has been winning games. It has been impressive but at some point, the shoe has to drop. I think they might have caught Oregon State off guard but other than that the wins have not been as impressive to me. I think Utah, with its physicality has a chance to overwhelm the Wildcats.

Play the ML if you like. I think this number might tip to Utah favored eventually.

UCLA @ USC
Saturday, 3:30 p.m. ET

USC -5

The number is in the dead zone, so it might as well be -7. Nevertheless, both of these teams have faded some down the stretch but I believe in the USC offense enough to back them again. They cashed for us last week at Oregon. The UCLA offense has been so bad it might make the USC defense look good.

USC is the better team. They are looking to close the season with some momentum in this rivalry game.

UNLV @ Air Force
Saturday, 3:30 p.m. ET

Falcons -3

Per the above, I do not know what is up with the Falcons, but this is suddenly a massive game and it is at home. That helps, especially against a program that is not that used to winning at UNLV. With the back-to-back losses, this has probably dropped from at least -7. That value is too good to ignore.

The number is perfect. I would not be surprised if they won by 10.
