The Ohio State Buckeyes in recent years have not lacked for talent at the receiver position. From Michael Thomas to Chris Olave and Garrett Wilson, the Buckeyes have put several elite receivers into the NFL.

That success has made recruiting the position rather easy for the Buckeyes, and that is no different for their 2024 class headlined by receiver Jeremiah Smith.

Smith, out of Chaminade-Madonna Prep (FL), is the No. 2 recruit in the 2024 class and the No. 1 overall receiver according to Rivals

Says Rivals.com's Adam Gorney:

Jeremiah Smith is the total package at receiver since he has size, length, playmaking ability, great hands and toughness as well. The Ohio State commit had 20 touchdowns in his junior season as everyone knew the ball was coming his way and nobody could stop him.

The Hollywood (Fla.) Chaminade-Madonna standout is best streaking down the field or across the middle where he shows off surprising speed to go in for a score.

In his junior season, Smith helped lead his team to a Florida 1M state title. He recorded 58 receptions for 1,073 yards and 20 touchdowns, including a season-high seven receptions for 113 yards and 2 touchdowns in the state final.

The Buckeyes 2024 recruiting class is far from complete, but with Smith already headlining the group it is set to be yet another elite haul for Ohio State.
