This past week ahead of their matchup with Stanford, Cal running back Jadyn Ott made sure to get in a jab at the Golden Bears' Bay Area rival.

Stanford lost one of their offensive line commits, as three-star offensive tackle Justin Tauanuu flipped his commitment from Stanford to USC, and Ott made sure to weigh in. With Tauanuu posting what feels like the infamous thanking the coaches of the program I'm about to leave, Ott commented on the post applauding his decision.

The two teams are set to face off this weekend in Palo Alto, with Cal favored by 6.5 and having a 76.4% chance of winning according to ESPN. The Cardinal are looking to win their first home game of the season and the Troy Taylor era, while also ending their two-game skid against Cal.

The Cardinal lead the all-time series, holding a 65-49-11 record, but could have a tough time stopping Ott who has rushed for over 1,000 yards and 10 touchdowns on nearly six yards per carry.

In terms of recruiting, while losing Tauanuu wasn't ideal for a Stanford program that is extremely weak in the trenches, the Cardinal do have the No. 27 class in the country compared to Cal who has the No. 64 class in the country.
