Carson Beck, Quinn Ewers top early Heisman Trophy odds for 2024
The College Football Playoff is over and technically at this juncture in January, the NFL is king. With that said, it's never too early to look ahead to the next college football season, and that's what the folks over at FanDuel have done.
FanDuel has released its first Heisman Trophy odds for 2024, with Georgia Bulldogs quarterback Carson Beck and Texas Longhorns quarterback Quinn Ewers leading the pack at 7.5-1 odds.
Beck is a solid choice as he returns for his senior season with a stacked Georgia team around him. He threw for 3,941 yards and 24 touchdowns with just six interceptions last season.
Quinn Ewers had a fantastic 2023 with the Longhorns, throwing for 3,479 yards and 22 touchdowns with just six interceptions. He'll be heading into Year 3 with the program and it should be expected that he'll have full control of Steve Sarkisian's offense.
If you're looking for an intriguing dark horse candidate keep an eye on Tennessee quarterback Nico Iamaleava. He'll be a redshirt freshman but he totally impressed in his bowl game start against the Iowa Hawkeyes — looking explosive on the run and with his harm.
Iamaleava threw for a touchdown and rushed for three against an otherwise very stout Iowa defense in the Citrus Bowl.
