Darlington Raceway announced that it signed Coastal Carolina quarterback Grayson McCall to a NIL deal for a second straight year.

Last year, Darlington Raceway partnered with McCall for the Southern 500, and the quarterback promoted one of NASCAR’s main events on all of his social media platforms as a part of the deal.

Raceway president Kerry Tharp admitted on Thursday that the track has enjoyed its relationship with McCall and said that they are “looking forward to continuing this impactful relationship this year and cheering him on in all his endeavors.”

McCall, a three-time Sun Belt Conference Player of the Year, will enter his senior season with the Chanticleers. In 2022, McCall threw for 2,700 passing yards with 24 touchdowns and only two interceptions. He also had six rushing scores.

McCall led Coastal Carolina to a first-place finish in the Sun Belt – East. The Chanticleers finished with a 9-3 regular season record before falling 53-29 to East Carolina in the Ticketsmarter Birmingham Bowl.

Over the past four seasons, McCall has passed for 8,066 yards with 78 touchdowns against eight interceptions.

McCall is expected to promote Darlington events, primarily NASCAR’s Throwback Weekend on May 12-14, which concludes with the NASCAR Cup Series’ Goodyear 400 on that Sunday.
