College Football Playoff once again coming to a movie theater near you

Last season, ESPN partnered with Cinemark to make broadcasts of the College Football Playoff available to be watched in a movie theater. That out-of-the-box (office) idea was apparently a success because Cinemark confirmed that the College Football Playoff at the movies will once again be an option.

There's also good news for fans of the four finalists, No. 1 Georgia, No. 2 Michigan, No. 3 TCU and No. 4 Ohio State. There are participating theaters in each program's home state.

Texas will have the most participating theaters with 19. That includes theaters in Dallas, Austin and, of course, Fort Worth.

There is one theater participating in Ypsilanti, Michigan, which is a 20-minute car ride from downtown Ann Arbor. There is also a theater participating in Columbus, Ohio.

Unfortunately for Bulldogs fans, there is a participating theater in Georgia, but it's nowhere near Athens. In fact, it's nearly a two-hour drive away.

Still, what a cool opportunity for college football fans to watch a big game with others and still get somewhat of that "big-game atmosphere" without actually having to be in the arena.

The Peach Bowl matchup between No. 1 Georgia and No. 4 Ohio State as well as the Fiesta Bowl matchup between No. 2 Michigan and No. 3 TCU will both be available to be seen on the big screen.

The College Football Playoff National Championship Game will, of course, be a big-screen event as well.
