College Football Week 9 Best Teaser: Oklahoma State, Ole Miss have value

Oklahoma State and Ole Miss may be risky plays on the spread this week, but that's not the case on the teaser. Both teams have just one loss each, and with both teams getting more than a field goal's worth via the teaser, you'd be a fool to not jump on it.

Oklahoma State rallied last week to beat Texas, and don't be surprised if Saturday's game against Kansas State is another close one. The Cowboys haven't won a Big 12 game by more than 11 points, so expecting OSU to blow out Kansas State is simply foolish, but they have beaten the Wildcats three straight years, and head coach Mike Gundy is 6-3 in his career against KSU.

Plus, KSU had both its top two quarterbacks — Adrian Martinez and Will Howard — get hurt in last week's loss to TCU, and don't expect either to be 100% this week. Now does that mean neither will be available to play this week? Absolutely not. But with two QBs injured, don't expect the Wildcats offense to dominate either.

And don't forget Oklahoma State's only loss came in double overtime to undefeated TCU. Oklahoma State doesn't necessarily win "pretty," but the Cowboys rarely lose by more than a score. And with the teaser getting you +7.5, taking Oklahoma State is the right play.

As for the final leg of our teaser, take Ole Miss +4.5 on the teaser against Texas A&M. The Rebels got smoked last week against LSU, but that was still just their first loss of the season. And it's not like the Aggies are running through the SEC this season. In fact, it's kind of the exact the opposite.

A&M has lost three straight and the Aggies are just 1-3 in SEC play. And to make matters worse, the Aggies just suspended three players due to a locker room incident. So, not only are the Aggies struggling as of late, they've got a nice in-week distraction to go along with preparing for this week.

The Aggies are certainly capable of winning this game, but don't expect it to be by more than a field goal. A&M's only SEC win was against Arkansas, and that was by just two points. And despite Ole Miss' defensive struggles last week, the Aggies have struggled offensively all season long. Expect this game to be close, and for Ole Miss probably to come out on top on the road.

The Bet: Oklahoma State (+1.5) to (+7.5) AND Ole Miss (-1.5) to (+4.5) (+112 odds via Barstool)

Bet $100 to win $112
