One of the Deion Sanders’ leading receivers this fall won’t be returning to Boulder. Colorado Buffaloes tight end Michael Harrison has entered the transfer portal ESPN reporter Tom VanHaaren has learned.

A walk-on wide receiver who enrolled at Colorado in 2020, Harrison was converted to tight end this summer by former Buffaloes assistant Tim Brewster. The 6’3,” 215-pound product from San Francisco finished with 31 receptions for 284 yards and five touchdowns this season. Harrison’s breakout game came on September 16 against rival Colorado State, when the junior had 7 receptions for a career-high 76 yards and two touchdowns in a thrilling 43-35 victory over the Rams. His 31 catches this season were the most by a Colorado tight end since Riar Geer’s 36 in 2009.

Harrison joins Caleb Fauria as the second Buffaloes tight end to enter this winter’s transfer portal. Fauria was the first player to announce his intentions to transfer. Since the regular season concluded, a total of 11 Buffaloes have reportedly entered the portal, five of whom were holdovers -- like Harrison and Fauria -- from the pre-Deion Sanders days.

Here’s a look at the Buffaloes that have entered the transfer portal as of December 4:

Caleb Fauria, TE; Marvin Ham, LB; Gerad Lichtenhan, IOL;; Van Wells, IOL; Anthony Hankerson, RB; Eoghan Kerry, LB; Dante Capolungo, WR; Chernet Estes, WR; Kasen Weisman, QB;Cole Boscia, WR; and Michael Harrison, TE.

The 30-day winter transfer portal runs from December 4 to January 2. Per ESPN’s Van Harren, as of 3:25pm EST, there have been over 1,000 players to enter the portal on Monday alone.
