Deion Sanders and Colorado land big-time receiver transfer Will Sheppard

Will Sheppard will be a massive addition for head coach Dion Sanders and the Colorado Buffaloes in 2024.

Sheppard, a 6-foot-3, 198-pound wideout who played his last four seasons of college ball at Vanderbilt, announced his commitment to the Buffs on X, the platform formerly known as Twitter.

Sheppard is a big-time wideout.

Last season for Vandy, he caught 47 passes for 684 yards and eight touchdowns, averaging 14.6 yards per catch. As a junior, he caught 60 passes for 776 yards and nine touchdowns.

In all, he'll be bringing 2,067 total yards and 21 touchdowns – plus four years of experience – to Sanders' team. The importance of that type of production and veteran college football leadership can't be understated.

A grad transfer, Sheppard will be eligible to play immediately for Colorado. He's expected to be one of Shedeur Sanders' top options in 2024.
