Deion Sanders is naming and shaming the 10 NFL teams he says failed to send a representative to Jackson State’s pro day.

Sanders posted an Instagram video earlier this week sharing his thoughts on pro day, which he said had been “phenomenal.” However, he paused to say that 10 NFL teams had not attended, and he did not hold back on criticizing them for not sending any personnel.

“There’s 32 teams in this Crayola box,” Sanders said. “Therefore, the Dolphins, the Broncos, the Texans, the Bills, the Buccaneers, the Ravens, the Panthers, the Browns, the Vikings and the Eagles, where art thou? You could have sent somebody, man. You could have shown up just a little bit.

“I guarantee you that you’re going to go to Mississippi State and Ole Miss. I guarantee you you’re going to show up there. I understand, you’re saying they have more talent, I understand. Guess what? We’re coming. And when we arrive, you better be here. Because our kids deserve it.”

We don’t know for sure whether or not Sanders’ figures are correct, but he’s probably unlikely to trash NFL teams like this unless he was pretty confident he had reason to. Plus, this is his way of attracting attention to his program and sticking up for his players. He’s proved to be great at that so far.

Considering how much Jackson State and Sanders have been crushing it in recruiting, it is a bit surprising that some teams opted against sending a scout. Perhaps they weren’t anticipating getting publicly called out for it.
