It took Deion Sanders less than a few months to completely revitalize the Colorado Buffaloes football program and turn Boulder into a hot spot for celebrities on Saturdays. The outspoken coach proved that his level of star power transcends time and space.

Even better for sneakerheads, Sanders reunited with Nike after many years apart. We saw NCAA and NFL players wear Sanders' retro cleats on the field this past fall. Now, Nike is beginning to roll out Sanders' iconic signature sneakers in Colorado-inspired colorways throughout this year.

Instead of cashing in on hype, Sanders is using his platform to support good causes. "Coach Prime" took to social media to offer free pairs of the Nike Air DT Max '96 to good fathers. Check out his Instagram post below.

Sanders gave an impromptu sermon on fatherhood while sitting on an exercise ball in Colorado's weight room. Sanders implored fathers to have their women, children, or family members reach out to him for free sneakers "just because you doing what you supposed to be doing!"

We love to see it. For fathers who do not receive the free sneakers, they can expect to see the Nike Air DT Max '96 drop in Summer 2024. Meanwhile, athletes can expect the Nike Air DT Max '96 and Nike Diamond Turf cleats to be released over the coming months as well.

While athletes and fans wait for Sanders' highly anticipated sneakers to hit shelves once again, they can stock up on official "Coach Prime" apparel on the Nike website

Sanders has used his star power to shake up the NCAA, the sneaker industry, and preach some good gospel. How can anyone dislike this sports icon? Stay locked into FanNationKicks.com for all your footwear news from the sports world.
