Colorado Buffaloes head coach Deion Sanders hasn't been shy about embracing the transfer portal. Sanders used the portal to essentially bring in an entire new team before his first season with the Buffaloes, and some of his best players have come to Colorado through the portal.

The Buffaloes are losing Shedeur Sanders and Travis Hunter to the NFL Draft, but they were able to use the portal for talent once again to add former Liberty quarterback Kaidon Salter.

Colorado has benefitted from the transfer portal in Sanders' tenure, but on Thursday the portal showed that it can also take away. One of the team's most important players entered the transfer portal, and they could be close to committing to their next school.

On3's Pete Nakos is predicting that former Colorado offensive lineman Cash Cleveland will transfer to Texas Tech. The move would keep Cleveland in the Big 12, but he'd head down to Lubbock after starting his career in Boulder with the Buffaloes.

Cleveland played in six games for Colorado as a freshman last season, making starts in the final four games of the year. In his 234 pass blocking snaps, he allowed only one sack, one quarterback hit and two hurries.

The former three-star recruit earned multiple honors in his first collegiate season, including freshman All-American recognition from several national outlets.

Offensive line play was a massive point of improvement for Colorado last season, and the impact was apparent on the field. The Buffaloes increased their win total from four to nine, and they earned bowl eligibility for the first time since 2020.

Travis Hunter won the Heisman trophy, becoming only the second Colorado player to do so after Rashaan Salaam won it three decades ago in 1994.

Hunter and Shedeur Sanders could go in the top 10 of tonight's NFL Draft, becoming two of the highest-drafted players in program history. The current record is held by running back Bo Matthews, who was taken No. 2 overall by the then-San Diego Chargers in 1974.

Hunter is projected by many to go No. 2 in this year's draft to the Cleveland Browns. Fans can tune in to see where Hunter, Sanders and the rest of the 2025 draft class ends up on Thursday, when the NFL Draft gets underway on ESPN and the NFL Network.
