Deion Sanders believes in Travis Hunter's abilities as a playmaker. It's one of the major reasons why the two-way star followed the Hall-of-Famer to Colorado. Coach Prime also thinks the phenom will continue to excel, forcing NFL teams to consider how they'll use him.
Sanders said the league will have to consider Hunter as a true two-way threat, at both cornerback and wide receiver, during a recent moment captured by Well Off Media.
"The NFL got a problem. What are you gonna draft him as...? And he's gotta play both ways. Because he has value on both sides of the ball," Sanders said.
Coach Prime isn't wrong about his assessment either. Hunter will likely force the issue to play both sides of the ball. Not to say it will stay that way in the latter stages of his career, but his drive is built differently compared to previous two-way players. Also, he'll demand more money as a contributor for a majority of snaps.

In his first year at Colorado, Hunter earned consensus All-American honors and was named the 2023 Paul Hornung Award winner. He appeared in nine games for the Buffs and suffered a lacerated liver prior to the Pac-12 side of the schedule. Despite the setback, he recorded 57 receptions for 721 yards and five touchdowns on offense and 31 tackles, 5 PDUs, and 3 INTs on defense.
Hunter was given his hardware at a ceremony in Louisville, KY on Saturday. He took time away from Boulder to give back to a group of kids who were in attendance. It was great to see him representing the program in a different setting.
The final stage of Hunter's collegiate career begins with CU's Black and Gold Spring Game on April 27.
