The Colorado Buffaloes opened up the Spring Practice session in Boulder on Monday. It marked the official start of Deion Sanders' second season at CU with some noticeable differences.

After coming off the bulk of his book tour, the Hall-of-Famer appeared to be taking it all in stride. He even showed off the newest colorway of the Nike Air Max Diamond Turf 96's. It was a first look of Sanders' signature shoe in the black base with gold concept. The original Varsity Maize is expected to be officially released on April 25th.

One of Sanders' latest ventures that will be hitting the market. He made four stops to promote 'Elevate and Dominate: 21 Ways to Win On and Off the Field,' which included an appearance on the Tonight Show with Jimmy Fallon and a trip to his old stomping grounds in Atlanta. Coach Prime and his two oldest children greeted a massive crowd in the Peachtree State.

Outside of the Retro Diamond Turf release, Nike will be outfitting the Buffs with new uniforms in 2024. Colorado defensive end Arden Walker leaked details to DNVR about updated prototypes that were staged in CU's equipment room. Many have speculated if the uniform designs will coordinate with Coach Prime's signature shoes.

Colorado's Black and Gold Spring Game will be at Folsom Field on April 27. The event will cap off a series of 18 practices over the course of six weeks. It will also give an initial look at the Buffs depth chart going into the next transfer portal open window.
