The Washington Huskies may feel a little bit robbed after their final offensive play of Saturday’s rivalry game against Oregon did not result in defensive pass interference.
With the Huskies down four and facing a fourth and three from the Oregon 35, Washington quarterback Jacob Eason’s pass attempt was broken up. However, wide receiver Puka Nacua appeared to be interfered with on the throw, but no penalty flag came.
Washington had a 14-point lead in this one that they let slip away, so the story of the game can’t be distilled into one iffy non-call late in the fourth quarter. It also wouldn’t have guaranteed a score, as the Huskies still needed a touchdown. Washington has been the beneficiary of non-calls like this before. It’s just how things go for Pac-12 referees.
