A former All-American offensive tackle for Alabama is getting an opportunity to return to the NFL.

D.J. Fluker, a three-time BCS National Champion, earned a workout Wednesday for the Philadelphia Eagles.

He was a dominant lineman in four seasons (2009-12) for the Crimson Tide, helping Trent Richardson, Eddie Lacy, and T.J. Yeldon become 1,000+ yard running backs. Fluker cleared the way for Richardson to set a single-season school record with 1,679 yards rushing and 21 touchdowns in 2011. He paced Lacy and Yeldon to both go over 1,000 yards rushing in 2012.

Fluker got selected at No. 11 overall in the 2013 NFL Draft by the San Diego Chargers. He bounced around the league before becoming a free agent, but he has committed to being in better shape. Fluker has dropped over 40 pounds and looks incredible.

He showed off his dominance at Alabama’s Pro Day on March 23, captivating everyone’s attention in Tuscaloosa, Ala.

Hopefully, he excels in his workout for the Eagles.
