Ohio State Buckeyes wide receiver Emeka Egbuka caught and ran for an 8-yard completion before getting tackled on the opposite sideline.

He limped halfway across the field trying to get back to the Ohio State sideline before going down with an apparent left knee contusion against the Maryland Terrapins. Trainers helped Egbuka to his feet and aided him over to the trainer's tent, where he spent a few minutes before emerging and walking up and down the sideline to work out the injury.

Egbuka then tried to work things out on a stationary exercise bike for the remainder of Ohio State's eight-play drive. His status to return to the game is unknown at this point.

At the time that he went down with the injury, Egbuka had three receptions for 40 yards.

This is the second game in a row Ohio State had a star receiver go down with an injury, as Marvin Harrison Jr. was rolled up on against the Notre Dame Fighting Irish. Harrison said earlier this week that his ankle sprain was worse this time around compared to the season-long injury that he battled through last season.

Harrison is playing against the Terrapins and currently leads all receivers with seven receptions for 146 yards.

Following Egbuka's injury, other Ohio State pass-catchers stepped up.

Xavier Johnson had a 12-yard reception, while Harrison hauled in a deep 37-yarder down the right sideline which set up tight end Cade Stover's 44-yard touchdown catch-and-run that gave Ohio State a 27-17 lead with 10 minutes to go in the fourth quarter.
