Emmanuel Acho gives terrible advice to USC QB Caleb Williams

Emmanuel Acho had a great career for the Texas Longhorns that he parlayed into a short stint in the NFL as a sixth-round draft pick. He then parlayed his time in football into a career talking about the game for FS1.

You can't argue that career path. Acho has certainly made something of himself.

Speaking of career paths, though, Acho may have given the absolute worst advice to USC quarterback Caleb Williams coming off the Trojans' second straight loss off the 2023 season.

After a heartbreaking 34-32 loss to the Utah Utes, Acho thinks it's time for Williams to make a "business decision".

To be fair to Acho, he's right in the sense that Williams is likely out of the discussion for the Heisman Trophy, meaning Archie Griffin's back-to-back run in 1974 and 1975 is probably going to be extremely rarified air.

With two losses and now ranked No. 24 nationally, the Trojans are also certainly pout of the College Football Playoff chase.

With that said Williams is certainly no lock to go No. 1 overall, especially if he shows NFL organizations that he's willing to selfishly quit on his team. USC still has massive games left on its schedule, including clashes with ranked Washington, Oregon and UCLA.

At 4-1 in Pac-12 games, there's an opportunity for USC to win the Pac-12 if the Trojans win out. That's of course, easier said than done, but leading the Trojans to wins over the Huskies, Ducks and Bruins would go a long way toward solidifying Williams as the type of quarterback and leader that NFL teams would be willing to take No. 1 overall.

Quitting now would send a terrible message, and it's the worst advice a player of Williams' potential caliber could receive after two-straight losses.
