Extra Cheez: College football now has second Cheez-It Bowl

The NCAA loves its Cheez-It so much that is now going to have two bowl games sponsored by the cheese-flavored snack cracker.

The Citrus Bowl announced on Tuesday morning that it will now be known as the Cheez-It Citrus Bowl.

This game, however, should not be confused with the original Cheez-It Bowl, which has gone under that moniker since the 2020 season. That game was originally known as the Camping World Bowl, the Russel Athletic Bowl and the Champs Sports Bowl, among many other sponsorships.

Both games are played in Orlando at Camping World Stadium, because, well, it would just be silly to have the two Cheez-It Bowls played in different places. You have to keep your Cheez-It Bowls close together for maximum cheeziness.

The Cheez-It Bowl (the Original) will be played on Dec. 29, 2022, and feature teams from the ACC and Big 12 conferences.

The Cheez-It Citrus Bowl will take place on Monday, Jan. 2, 2023, and feature teams from the Big Ten and the SEC.
