The Florida Gators football program has expanded its 2024 signing class with a notable addition through reclassification.

Enoch Wangoy, originally slated for the Class of 2025 as an offensive line commit since March 9, has made the leap to the 2024 class. Wangoy is set to join the program in May, as announced by UF through a social media post on Monday.

This move not only augments the depth of the offensive line unit but also brings in significant size. Wangoy stands tall at a self-reported 6-foot-8, boasting a wingspan of seven feet, and carries a weight of 314 pounds.

Rated as a three-star offensive tackle prospect by 247Sports, Wangoy’s arrival adds promise to the team’s future lineup.

Wangoy’s football journey is marked by its unique trajectory. Hailing from Manchester, England, he embarked on his American football pursuit after relocating to the United States at the age of 16. Prior to his football stint, Wangoy showcased his athleticism in soccer, basketball, and rugby.

His inaugural American football season in 2023 with Jacksonville (Fla.) Zarephath Academy was commendable. Serving as a team captain, Wangoy contributed on both offensive and defensive lines, tallying 19 tackles, two sacks, and three blocked kicks.

In joining the Florida football program, Wangoy joins the ranks of European talents, notably fellow freshman Noel Portnjagin from Germany.

Completing the Florida Gators’ 2024 offensive line class are early enrollees Fletcher Westphal and Mike Williams, summer enrollee Marcus Mascoll, and transfer additions Brandon Crenshaw-Dickson and Devon Manuel.
