Dallas Turner left no doubt at Lucas Oil Stadium on Thursday that he’s a first-round NFL Draft pick.

The South Florida native checked every box at the NFL Scouting Combine.

He may have weighed in two inches shorter (6’2″) than listed at the University of Alabama (6’4″), but the former five-star recruit came in at 247 pounds with 34 3/8″ arms and an insane 83″ wingspan. Turner showed off his freakish athleticism in testing extremely well in on-field workout. He scorched the 40-yard dash, turning in a time of 4.47 seconds.

Turner finished tied for second among linebackers in his draft class.

His 10-yard split of 1.54 seconds displayed his explosiveness coming off the snap, tying him for first among players at his position. He had the best vertical jump among linebackers (40.5″) and tied for second for a 10’7″ broad jump.

Turner came in on a mission and put top-15 value money into his bag. He dominated for the Crimson Tide in 2023, leading the team in sacks (10), tackles for loss (14.5), and quarterback hurries (13) in helping Alabama to a Southeastern Conference Championship. Turner earned first-team All-SEC honors, Consensus All-American honors, and Co-Defensive Player of the Year for the conference. He ended his collegiate career with 22.5 sacks, tying him with former Tide legend Eric Curry (1990-92) for sixth all-time in school history. Turner had 32.5 tackles for loss in three seasons (2021-23) for the Crimson Tide at linebacker.

He watched Will Anderson become a top-three NFL Draft selection, but now Turner has captured high first-round status.
