Frustration continues to pour in from former Alabama players after the Crimson Tide’s loss to Tennessee.

Terrell Lewis, one of the best pass rush linebackers of the Nick Saban era, was highly disappointed at Pete Golding’s use of the outside linebackers against the Volunteers. Lewis, who arrived as a four-star in Alabama’s 2016 recruiting class, assisted the Tide to a College Football Playoff National Championship in 2017. He battled injuries throughout his career, but Lewis became a force for Alabama in 2019. He recorded a team-high 16 quarterback hurries, 11 tackles for loss, and six sacks in his final year.

Lewis now plays for the Los Angeles Rams, but he still looks at his Alma mater. He compared this Alabama defense to the Big 12 after seeing the lack of a pass rush from Coach Golding. Lewis noted how Golding kept dropping Will Anderson, Dallas Turner, and Chris Braswell in coverage. Alabama had one sack, two tackles for loss, and no quarterback pressures versus Tennessee.

Lewis, like all Tide fans, wants to see a change moving forward.
