Chris Braswell made heads turn during Reese’s Senior Bowl practices this week in Mobile, Ala.

He is about to play in the exhibition at noon via NFL Network at Whitney Hancock Stadium, but the University of Alabama alumnus wanted to give his brothers a message via the media. Braswell, a former Crimson Tide edge rusher, arrived in the 2020 signing class as a five-star from Maryland. He waited his time for three years before having a breakout season in 2023.

Braswell exploded for 42 total tackles, 10.5 stops for loss, eight sacks, five quarterback hurries, three forced fumbles, a blocked field goal, a pass breakup, and an interception returned for a touchdown. He became one of the best pass rushers in the Southeastern Conference, propelling the Tide’s defense to an SEC Championship and the College Football Playoff last year.

Braswell leaves the Crimson Tide with three SEC Championships (2020-21, 2023) and a CFP National Championship in 2020; however, he wants his former teammates in Tuscaloosa to ‘lock in on the goal’ next fall.

“You all are my brothers, lock in,” Braswell said to Simone Eli of WKRG in Mobile.

“We still have all the goals to go and compete for. No matter who the coach is, y’all know what the standard is. Roll Tide!”

A strong parting message from Braswell to his former teammates. He projects as a day two selection for the NFL Draft in April while his brothers that remained with the Tide are trying to end a three-year national championship drought.
