A day after scoring in the Texas Bowl, Gunnar Gundy receives recognition.

The former Oklahoma State quarterback collected an offer from Indiana State on Thursday, making it his third known offer since entering the transfer portal.

Gundy went out with a bang on Wednesday in the Texas Bowl. His one play during the contest resulted in points after he ran along the right side for a 10-yard touchdown. It was Gundy's first rushing touchdown of his career and his first action in a game since September.

Oklahoma State head coach Mike Gundy said it was plain and simple; they had a play designed for G. Gundy.

“We had a concept. We had four or five plays where if they wanted to lightened the box, he would run it," M. Gundy said. "If they wanted to go heavy and press up, we were going to throw it.

“We had a package for him because we thought we might need the extra body with using Ollie as a blocker or whoever is at running back to give us that number to run the ball in."

G. Gundy's career at Oklahoma State was a roller coaster. After redshirting in 2021, he saw most of his action in 2022.

G. Gundy played in four games in 2022, completing 19 of 39 pass attempts and recording three touchdowns. His best performance came against UAPB, where he went 12 of 20 for 128 yards and two touchdowns.

This season, G. Gundy saw limited action. In four games this season, G. Gundy completed 21 of 34 passes for 202 yards and a touchdown. He also rushed for 49 yards on the season.

The sophomore quarterback will now look for a new home. His touchdown on Wednesday helped his case and showed what he could do for other teams.
