The book is officially closed on KeAndre Lambert-Smith at Penn State.

On Wednesday, Lambert-Smith announced he is transferring to Auburn for his final collegiate season of eligibility. “God’s plan let’s get to work!!!” Lambert-Smith posted on social media.

A staple in the Penn State receiver room the past three seasons and a Nittany Lion for four, Lambert-Smith, who entered the transfer portal on April 15, led the team in receptions (53), yards (673), yards per catch (12.7), and yards per game (51.8) last year. He owns 126 career catches for 1,721 yards and 11 touchdowns in his career spanning 2020 to 2023. Lambert-Smith only amassed four touchdowns in 2023 and left much to be desired as the presumptive No. 1 wide receiver.

Lambert-Smith did not catch a pass against Ole Miss in the Peach Bowl and only one for six yards at home when facing eventual national champion Michigan.

Lambert-Smith did not suit up during the Blue-White Game amidst transfer rumors and speculation that he was away from the program. At the time, head coach James Franklin didn’t provide an update during his postgame press conference and focused his comments on the guys who played on April 13.

Penn State enters the 2024 season with Ohio State transfer Julian Fleming and a healthy Harrison Wallace as two of Drew Allar’s top receiving threats. Tight end Tyler Warren also returns to the fold. Penn State finished the season 10-3 with losses to Ohio State, Michigan, and Ole Miss. The season begins August 31 at West Virginia.
