One of Kentucky’s top football prospects, Javeon Campbell, has revealed the Georgia Bulldogs as one of his top choices for college recruitment, among eight other schools.

The 6-foot-5, 260-pound edge rusher hails from Western Hills High School in Franklin, Kentucky. Despite starting his high school football career only in 2023, after a background in basketball, Campbell quickly made a mark by tallying an impressive 14.5 sacks in his debut season.

His versatility allows him to line up both on the edge and inside the defensive line.

Ranked as a three-star prospect, Campbell holds the distinction of being the No. 430 player in the class of 2025, according to 247Sports.

Georgia extended an offer to Campbell on March 16, and he has already scheduled an official visit to Athens for June 21, 2024.

Reports suggest that Georgia, along with Ohio State and Kentucky, are currently the frontrunners to secure his commitment. These three schools, along with Alabama, have secured visits from Campbell, indicating a serious consideration of each program in his recruitment process.

It will be interesting to see if the Georgia Bulldogs can seal the deal when it comes to Campbell against all the competition.
