Georgia football fans received exciting news on Thursday morning.
Less than 24 hours after announcing he was entering the NCAA transfer portal, Georgia defensive lineman Christen Miller has decided to stay a Bulldog.
“I have unfinished business with my brothers. I’m 100% percent locked in. Go Dawgs,” Miller told On3.
NIL deals and the transfer portal have entirely changed the landscape of college football, though whether or not money major played a factor in Miller's decision to stay is unclear at the moment. However, it's a big win for Georgia's defense and Kirby Smart, who no longer has to worry about finding a replacement for Miller.
Miller, a 6'4" 305-pound tackle, originally committed to Georgia as a four-star recruit out of Cedar Grove High School (Ellenwood, Ga.) in 2022. He saw action in four games as a redshirt freshman that year.
In 2023, Miller officially jumped into the defensive line rotation and appeared in 13 games for the Bulldogs, logging 14 total tackles, four tackles for loss, and a sack.
He is expected to take on an even larger role in 2024 and he'll do so alongside true sophomore Jordan Hall and freshmen Jordan Thomas, and Nasir Johnson.
