Trent Hudson is at least the third wide receiver in the transfer portal to garner a scholarship offer from the University of Minnesota.

Hudson, who caught 35 passes for 551 yards and 10 touchdowns playing for Jerry Kill at New Mexico State this season, confirmed on X Tuesday afternoon that he's received an offer from the Gophers.

The junior to be from Texas was a big play threat in his first year with the Aggies, having moved up to the FBS level after being named a National Junior College Athletic Association All-American as a true freshman at Trinity Valley Community College in Athens, Texas.

Kill was asked about Hudson entering the portal last week and the former Gophers coach said "That’s not over with yet, so I’m not going to comment on anything portal things," according to KTSM-TV

Hudson has also received offers from Washington State, Kansas State, Colorado State and Connecticut, among others.

Other wideouts to have received an offer from Minnesota include Jahmal Banks, who is in the transfer portal after starring at Wake Forest, and now-former Oklahoma State Cowboy Blaine Green.

Minnesota is hunting for wide receivers to give incoming transfer quarterback Max Brosmer talented targets. The top receiver on the 2024 roster is Daniel Jackson, who was among the Big Ten's leading receivers in 2023 with 57 catches for 871 yards and eight touchdowns.
