How many college head coaching lists is Deion Sanders on?

For a guy who already has a job, Deion Sanders is sure heading up a lot of candidates' lists at other spots.

The Pro Football Hall of Famer has been the head coach at Jackson State since 2020 and has turned the team into a college football feel-good story now that they are 19-5 with him at the helm and 4-0 on the current season. With his team doing so well and student-athletes from other states flipping their college selections to play for him, it's no surprise that other schools in search of new coaching are hoping to lure Coach Prime to their programs.

So just how many schools want Sanders on their coaching staff right now?

Sanders has most recently been tagged as a top candidate to coach at Georgia Tech after Geoff Collins was fired over the weekend in the midst of the team's 1-3 start. Multiple sources including CBS Sports have pointed out that Sanders already has ties to the state after playing for both the Atlanta Falcons and the Atlanta Braves, and would probably thrive in the bigger media market.

But Georgia Tech is just the "flavor of the week" at this point. Sanders has also come up in conversations about Auburn with Bryan Harsin in the hot seat and about ASU after Herm Edward's dramatic dismissal.

The JSU coach's name has also been mentioned online in conjunction with other schools such as Nebraska, although that appears to be more speculation on the part of fans than the school listing him as a top candidate.

Sanders himself hasn't commented on the subject and, frankly, why would he when the team he is currently coaching is 4-0 to start their season? It's entirely possible that Prime Time doesn't want to coach anywhere else anyways at this time.

But don't be surprised if his name shows up on another potential coaching candidate's list. With the success Sanders has had thus far as a college football coach, surely even more schools will have an eye on him.
