There were rumblings heading into the East Carolina football game that secondary starts Will Johnson, Rod Moore, and Makari Paige may not play due to lingering injuries. When Michigan released its injury availability report hours before the game, none of them were ruled out, but all three were labeled as questionable.

Sitting up in the press box, we saw all three warming up in pads, and all three looked like they could play, but the Wolverines held out Johnson and Moore in Week 1 action. Paige on the other hand started but played 10 snaps all game.

Instead of trotting out two potential All-Americans, Michigan used Week 1 to get some younger players experience. The Wolverines started Keon Sabb and Keshaun Harris who both made their first starts in the maize and blue.

Both Sabb and Harris recorded the most snaps on defense out of anyone on the team. According to PFF, both had 45 snaps which was nine more than the next player.

On Monday during media availability, Harbaugh mentioned both Harris and Sabb, along with Josh Wallace -- who all played well.

"Keshaun Harris, Keon Sabb, Josh Wallace -- thought he played a great game," said Harbaugh. "Tough technicality of a rule on an incredible interception."

Since Moore and Johnson gave it a go during pregame workouts last week, is there a chance they both get to see the field against UNLV? Harbaugh says there is an opportunity for both to play this week.

"I think there's an opportunity this week, we'll see," Harbaugh told the media on Monday.

Michigan and UNLV will kick off at 3:30 p.m. ET on CBS this Saturday at the Big House.
