Kentucky football’s JJ Weaver held a bike drive in Louisville, KY, his hometown. On July 30th, Weaver and his foundation, The Perfect Fit, gave away 100 bicycles to children at Iroquois Park.

The 22 Oats Strong Foundation, the foundation created for former Kentucky LB Chris Oats, donated 22 bikes to the cause.

The Perfect Fit Foundation aims to bring awareness to gun violence and bullying, as well as provide educational needs to children. The 22 Oats Strong Foundation works to support single-parent families, especially families with children who have impairments.

In an LEX 18 article, Weaver was quoted saying, “My dad was murdered, and my grandfather got sick. So, that was a big reason why I want to do this.”

He added, “Sometimes, it makes me want to cry because God put me in this position to actually help others, and that’s what I want to do.”

JJ Weaver is not only going to be a great leader for Mark Stoops’ defense, but a great leader for the state of Kentucky and its communities as well.
