Ohio State football assistant Brian Hartline is recovering at home after being released from the hospital following a UTV accident in recent days.

Now, we have something of a first-hand look at what police officers saw when they arrived on the scene to help the Buckeyes offensive coordinator after the crash.

The bodycam footage shows a deputy assisting Hartline, who was injured in the single-vehicle accident. He and a passenger were taken to the hospital with non-life threatening injuries.

Hartline, who was driving the UTV that crashed, was laying on the ground when deputies arrived at the scene of the accident after 1 a.m. local time.

Later on, a report from the Delaware Co. (Ohio) Sheriff's Office revealed that Hartline said he had been drinking prior to the accident.

Hartline's sister placed the 911 call and was asked by the dispatcher if the coach and his friend had been drinking. She replied, "Yes, they have."

The sheriff's report then noted that Hartline's hospital room had "a strong odor of an alcoholic beverage."

While at the hospital, Hartline updated his condition by saying, "I appreciate everyone's support. I crashed by side by side on my property and have been taken to the hospital for further evaluation. I am doing well."

He was later released from the hospital.

Hartline, an Ohio State alum who played wide receiver for the Buckeyes from 2006 to 2008, finished his collegiate career with 1,429 yards and 12 touchdown catches.

A fourth-round pick by the Miami Dolphins in the 2009 NFL Draft, the Canton native posted two 1,000-yard seasons and scored 14 times.

Hartline returned to Ohio State in 2017 as an assistant coach, becoming wide receivers coach and emerging as one of the nation's top recruiters at the position.

Ohio State promoted Hartline to offensive coordinator this offseason.
