AUSTIN -- Texas Longhorns quarterback Quinn Ewers was just 10 years old the last time an EA Sports college football video game was released. Fast-forward 11 years later and the soon-to-be 21-year-old is making a case for being on the cover of the latest installment, which has taken social media by storm over the past week.

EA's "College Football 25" is set to release this summer after an official announcement was made on Feb. 15 following months of unconfirmed rumors.

On Thursday, EA Sports tweeted out another teaser that revealed the video game will feature all 134 FBS schools. Playing off their famous catch phrase, EA Sports captioned the tweet with "They're in the game," and Ewers followed suit.

Ewers posted a picture to his Instagram story that officially included his name alongside the EA Sports "College Football 25" logo with the caption "I'm in the game."

Take a look:

Ewers, one of the Heisman favorites entering next season, has a case for being the video game's cover athlete after his performance this past year. The cover athlete will be revealed at later date.

One would expect that EA will go with a current CFB player instead of a now-former collegiate athlete like Heisman winner Jayden Daniels for example. However, there's tons of departing star power that also includes Caleb Williams, Michael Penix Jr. and J.J. McCarthy, all of who can be argued as cover athelte-worthy,

Former Alabama coach Nick Saban has also been discussed as a possibility for the cover after his retirement, but this is just pure speculation at this point.

One of Ewers, Travis Hunter or Shedeur Sanders will likely be in the running for cover athlete among current CFB players if EA decides to go in that direction.

While leading the Longhorns to a Big 12 title and an appearance in the final four-team College Football Playoff, Ewers, who missed two games due to injury, went 272 of 394 passing for 3,479 yards, 22 touchdowns and six interceptions while adding five rushing scores.
