LSU QB Myles Brennan questionable vs. Auburn with lower-body injury

The LSU Tigers began the week not knowing if starting quarterback Myles Brennan will be available for Saturday's game against the Auburn Tigers.

As Alex Scarborough wrote for ESPN, Brennan is returning to practice on Monday after dealing with a lower-body injury that sidelined him for Saturday's win over the South Carolina Gamecocks.

Freshman TJ Finley started in Brennan's absence and completed 17-of-21 passes for 265 yards, two touchdowns and one interception. Finley also added 24 rushing yards and a rushing score in the 52-24 victory that improved LSU to 2-2 overall.

"If Myles is healthy, he's our first-team quarterback, but I'm not putting him in unless he's 100 percent," coach Ed Orgeron told reporters on Monday.

It's believed Orgeron will again turn to Finley if he rules Brennan out for Saturday's game at Auburn.

In three contests this year, Brennan tallied 1,112 passing yards with 11 throwing touchdowns and three interceptions. LSU dropped two of those games.

Previously, Orgeron confirmed that Brennan would not have been cleared to play against the Florida Gators on Oct. 17 had that game not been postponed due to coronavirus-related issues.
