Miami Hurricanes selling shirt commemorating miracle return

After pulling off an incredible eight lateral game-winning kick-off return touchdown as time expired Saturday against the Duke Blue Devils to win 30-27, the University of Miami is now selling t-shirts to commemorate the play.

Dubbed "The Return," each t-shirt includes a diagram of the wild play, and the "U" featured in the word "return" is highlighted prominently in the Hurricanes colors of orange and green.

While the t-shirt is undoubtedly a good gimmick that will be received well by Hurricanes fans, the shirts fail to mention that the play should have been called back.

Not only was a Miami runner's knee down with the ball at one point, but the group of ACC referees officiating the game missed several penalties on the play; this, even after they reviewed the play for a total of 11 minutes.

Every official from the Miami-Duke game Saturday night has been suspended indefinitely by the ACC. None of them are expected to work another game this season.
