Michael Vick among the big names on 2024 College Football HOF ballot

When most people think about Michael Vick they likely think about the dog-fighting scandal that sent him to prison in the middle of his NFL career. Either that, or they think about how unreal he was on the field over his first six NFL seasons with the Atlanta Falcons.

He truly earned this commercial. 

Virginia Tech football fans likely best remember their version of Vick, though. There's a reason the Falcons took him with the first overall pick in the 2021 NFL Draft. Vick was an absolute dynamite college quarterback for the Hokies in 1999 and 2000. So good, that Vick is among the headliners on the National Football Foundation 2024 College Football Hall of Fame ballot.

Vick was a First Team All-American as well as the 1999 Big East Offensive Player of the Year. He was arguably the main reason for Virginia Tech's 11-0 regular season and national championship game appearance in 1999.

He threw for 3,299 yards and 21 touchdowns with 11 interceptions in two seasons, but he really made his mark with his feet. Vick rushed for 1,299 yards and 17 touchdowns in two seasons for Virginia Tech.
