LOS ANGELES, Ca. — Today, we had a chance to hear from several Wolverine defenders and Alabama offensive players ahead of Monday’s Rose Bowl CFP game. There, star defensive tackle Mason Graham revealed some notable Michigan football injury news: his hand will be out of the cast when U-M takes the field against Alabama on New Year’s Day.

Michigan football injury news revealed by Mason Graham

Mason Graham is an X-factor for Jesse Minter’s Michigan football defense — his presence and athletic skillset are invaluable for the Wolverines, and it has been clear time and time again this fall.

Since Michigan’s non-conference slate, Mason Graham has been wearing a club on one hand due to an injury sustained against Bowling Green; he even missed the team’s first two Big Ten Conference games against Rutgers and Nebraska earlier this fall. In the Rose Bowl, however, the Michigan football star will be without anything on his hand, he revealed on Thursday.

“Yeah, (my hand) is good,” he said. “I went to the doctor like last week and they said it’s 100%. No (club this week).”

While there are still some other Wolverines that are a bit banged up, Michigan football will have Mason Graham back with both hands as it looks to down Alabama in the Rose Bowl on January 1.
