Today is the deadline for college football players to declare for the NFL draft. Michigan football star safety Rod Moore announces return for 2024 season

After spending time on special teams his freshman year, Moore took over as a starting safety in 2022. As a starter, Rod Moore is a two-time All-Big Ten honorable mention.

So far at Michigan, Moore has amassed 141 total tackles, along with six interceptions and 13 passes defended. Moore joined Michigan with only a 3-star 247 Sports Composite rating but turned himself into a key starter during his time here.

Heading into this year’s draft, Moore was projected to be a day two draft pick according to NFL Draft Buzz. However, Moore announced on social media today that he will return for his senior season at Michigan.

This is great news for Wolverine fans who have already lost a lot of key players this week to the NFL draft. Moore will provide a veteran presence for one more year as an experienced safety.
