Michigan football star Donovan Edwards ripped off two of the longest touchdown runs in CFP National Championship Game history during the Wolverines’ 34-13 victory over the Washington Huskies last Monday. After the huge win, Michigan’s first title since the 1997 season, Edwards had a new NIL partnership with fast food chain Raising Cane’s, which was depicted on their Twitter account.

Michigan football star Donovan Edwards inks new NIL deal with Raising Cane’s

If you haven’t noticed, Michigan football standout running back Donovan Edwards is one of the most lovable characters in the game right now — few are as animated or full of life as Edwards, who recently put his outgoing personality to work behind a Raising Cane’s counter as a part of a new post-National Championship NIL deal.

Below, you’ll see the clip of Edwards working a shift with Raising Cane’s the day after leading Michigan football to a National Championship victory over Washington. As said before, Edwards played a massive role in the Wolverines’ 34-13 victory, ripping off a 41-yard touchdown run and a 46-yard touchdown run in the game’s early stages.

Donovan Edwards currently has a decision to make in regard to the NFL Draft — as does JJ McCarthy, Jim Harbaugh, and many other members of the 2023-24 Michigan football National Championship team. Regardless, this new NIL deal is fantastic to see for the Wolverines, and Edwards has undoubtedly become a Michigan legend with yet another standout performance when the team needed it most.

Most importantly, on top of being a standout Raising Cane’s employee, Donovan Edwards is a Michigan football National Champion — something that he will carry with him for the rest of time.
