Michigan football stars Zak Zinter and Junior Colson declare for the NFL Draft

The 2024 NFL Draft will be an exciting one for Michigan fans, as this year’s roster has the potential to set the NFL Draft record for most players taken from a college in a single year. Among the players going into the draft will be left guard Zak Zinter and linebacker Junior Colson.

Zinter has been a starting lineman for the Wolverines since 2020 and recently finished his senior season with a national title. During the 2023 Ohio State game, Zinter suffered a broken tibia and fibula which sidelined him for the remainder of the season.

However, Zinter is looking to make a complete comeback and play in the NFL next season. According to NFL Draft Buzz, Zinter is currently projected to be a day two draft pick.

Joining Zinter in the draft is middle linebacker Junior Colson. Colson committed to Michigan as a four-star recruit and made an immediate impact as a freshman.

This season as a junior, Colson was an All-Big Ten linebacker and won the Lott IMPACT Trophy. Colson is currently projected to be an early day three draft pick.

Best of luck to Junior Colson and Zak Zinter as they enter the NFL!
