Meeting with the media on Monday, senior offensive lineman Zak Zinter discussed one of Michigan's biggest assets heading into the 2023 season: the offensive line. Across the board, the Wolverines feature an offensive line that is full talent, experience and depth - and it's one of the biggest reasons why Michigan is a favorite to win it all in 2023.

"We've got 10 dudes that can start damn near anywhere in the country," Zinter said. "It's great to have depth on the offensive line. It's going to take more than just five starting guys to play this year and to get us the wins."

Given the fact that head coach Jim Harbaugh has been known to throw out some wild formations in previous seasons, Zinter joked that he wouldn't be surprised to see 10 offensive linemen on the field at once.

"You guys have seen some big packages out of us last year. So, who knows, maybe we'll get 10 on the field and a running back...who knows when we get out there."

A big reason for the incredible depth up front is due to three incoming transfers on the offensive line, all who figure to be competing for starting reps this fall. According to Zinter, tackles Ladarius Henderson (Arizona State) and Myles Hinton (Stanford), along with center Drake Nugent (Stanford), all came in and acclimated themselves pretty quickly Michigan's offensive philosophy.

"LD, Drake, Myles all came in and learned the playbook right away like vets. They've just been dudes out there on the practice field so far. Drake, he's got that dawg in him, he goes out there and grinds his but off. Myles and LD, elite...big tackles that can get out, protect, get in the run game. So it's been nice getting out there and meshing with them."
