NCAAF Week 10: Missouri Tigers vs. Georgia Bulldogs betting picks, preview

Missouri looks like the only team that has a chance of grabbing the SEC East this season, other than Georgia of course. The surprising Tigers have just one conference loss right now, so a win against the undefeated Dawgs, however unlikely would really put them in a great spot with just a few games to play. UGA looked very good in their last game against Florida so fading them is really taking a gamble.

Missouri Tigers vs. Georgia Bulldogs Betting Trends and Odds

Saturday, Nov. 4, 2023 — 3:30 p.m. ET

Odds: Georgia -16.5, Over/under 55.5, Missouri +550 | Georgia -800

You gotta give Georgia some credit. They do not beat themselves, so if someone wants to knock them off their perch they are going to have to deliver a big shot. This line is less than half of what it was when they played Mizzou in their back-to-back championship seasons. Looking at that number though there is still not much expectation of an upset.

Pick for Missouri vs. Georgia

Georgia -16.5

I love variety, so I kinda wish Mizzou had more of a chance to win on Saturday. Maybe if they were home in this matchup this season. Georgia is without its best playmaker in TE Brock Bowers, but QB Carson Beck seems to be getting better as the season has progressed. It might be too simple a concept but as long as he does not make mistakes, there are only a few teams that can really put pressure on the Dawgs. The Tigers are just not at that level and they are not dynamic enough at quarterback, or on defense, to make a go of it. I do not like backing double-digit favorites in general, but it is hard to make a compelling argument on Mizzou.

There are some 16s and 15.5s out there so you might want to shop around a little. This probably doesn't really matter because I doubt it comes all the way down to 14. The number you really need the Dawgs to win by at least 17 points, which is reasonable. No team has scored more than 21 points against UGA so it is not like they have to post 49 points.
