Nebraska football landed a commitment from 2025 three-star athlete Tanner Terch on Thursday. He made the announcement on X.

Terch is the top athlete in the state of Colorado, and has an 86 overall numerical ranking. His recruitment was a bit under the radar, as he only had two offers. Army and Nebraska were the schools that extended offers his way.

This recruitment was rather quick, as he was offered by Nebraska for on April 18.

This is a classic Matt Rhule commitment, as Terch can play three sports. He plays basketball and runs track as well, according to his profile on 247Sports. Speed is also something he brings to the table. He ran a 10.93 and 11.19 100 m dash.

Terch is listed as both a wide receiver and overall athlete. Again, this is something that the Nebraska football coaching staff has been looking for. He has played wide receiver in high school, and tallied 62 passes for 1,444 yards and 10 touchdowns over the course of two seasons so far.

It’s worth noting that he has an average of 16.8 yards per catch. He is more than just a wide receiver.  He is a playmaker that can spread the field. The 2025 class has a bunch of those types of playmakers.

A strong day for Nebraska Football

This commitment is the second of the day, and adds to a 2025 class that ranks 35th overall nationally per the 247Sports Team Rankings. Terch is rated numerically as an 86, and could have a chance to increase his rankings with another strong year.

This gives Nebraska football another player to work with, and another athlete with versatility. He excels at the wide receiver position, and he could have a chance to make a name for himself in a crowded room. Whatever the case may be, the Huskers have been caught on the recruiting trail as of late, and it doesn’t appear that their momentum will be slowing down.
