The best player in the college football transfer portal has made his decision as former Pitt wide receiver Jordan Addison committed to USC for the 2022 season.

Addison is the reigning Biletnikoff Award winner as the most outstanding wide receiver in college football last season. Speedy and agile, he led the nation with 17 touchdown receptions while catching 100 passes for 1,593 yards.

Addison's decision comes after rumors emerged that the wide receiver was choosing between USC and Texas after moving on from Pitt.

USC signed a bevy of other blue-chip transfer players this offseason, including 5-star quarterback Caleb Williams, who gets a major target to build the Trojans' offense.

Addison also visited with Texas and had pictures taken of himself in a Longhorns football uniform, and was seen practicing with Alabama quarterback Bryce Young in California.

College Football HQ ranked Addison as the No. 1 player in the transfer portal at the time of his commitment.

Addison's catch and touchdown numbers last season rank second-best in Pitt football history, behind Larry Fitzgerald's single-season marks in 2003.

Pittsburgh won the ACC championship last season in large part to Addison's receiving production, combined with the record-breaking play of Heisman Trophy finalist quarterback Kenny Pickett.

Pickett entered the NFL Draft after the season while Pitt signed transfer quarterback Kedon Slovis from USC to replace him.

Addison's decision to transfer was met with some controversy after reports emerged that Pitt officials accused USC of tampering, and Panthers head coach Pat Narduzzi even making an angry phone call to Trojans coach Lincoln Riley to complain.
