In February, the Notre Dame Fighting Irish made a crucial stop in Charlotte (N.C.) Independence to evaluate the talents of Nicholas Reddish, a promising safety in the class of 2026.

Having meticulously scouted him, Notre Dame extended an offer during their Pot of Gold event on St. Patrick’s Day.

This weekend marks Reddish’s inaugural visit to South Bend for the Blue-Gold Game, an eagerly anticipated opportunity for him to delve into the essence of Notre Dame’s allure.

“The early relationship with Notre Dame has been great,” Reddish told Irish Breakdown. “I’m already connecting with people down there and hope to get to know more people on the trip. “I’m excited for the trip. I can’t wait to see the energy of the team and the atmosphere. I heard great things about Notre Dame and am ready to experience it.”

As Reddish garners increasing attention on the recruiting front, he finds himself in conversations with numerous prominent programs, fostering relationships with coaches along the way.

For Notre Dame, this presents a golden chance to showcase their program to Reddish, who eagerly anticipates immersing himself in the Notre Dame experience. His presence adds to the depth and talent of Notre Dame’s safety roster, which already boasts notable performers.

Notably, Reddish had an exceptional sophomore season at Independence Patriots, tallying 95 total tackles, four interceptions, and 10 pass breakups, along with three tackles for loss, two forced fumbles, and four fumble recoveries.

Standing at 5-11 and weighing 185 pounds, Reddish currently holds offers from a range of schools including Missouri, Virginia Tech, and Wake Forest, among others. Given his standout performances, it’s anticipated that his offer list will expand rapidly.

Additionally, Reddish showcases his athleticism on the baseball field for Independence, further highlighting his multidimensional talent.
