Notre Dame, Indiana schedule home-and-home series for 2030, 2031

The Notre Dame Fighting Irish and Indiana Hoosiers haven't faced off on a football field since September 1991 but will rectify that nine years down the road.

Both programs announced on Monday that they will play a home-and-home series in 2030 and 2031. Notre Dame will host Indiana on Aug. 31, 2030, while Indiana will welcome the Fighting Irish to Bloomington on Sept. 27, 2031.

Indiana last hosted Notre Dame on Oct. 21, 1950.

"I'm looking forward to facing one of the most storied programs in the history of college football," Indiana coach Tom Allen said in the prepared statement. "It's tremendous for the state of Indiana and for our fans, and it will be a great opportunity for our players."

Notre Dame holds a 23-5-1 advantage over Indiana in the all-time series.

In February, Notre Dame announced it will play a home-and-home series against the Florida Gators in 2031 and 2032. Those schools have only ever played once when the Fighting Irish won the Sugar Bowl on Jan. 1, 1992.
