With Ohio University's 20-17 victory over MAC foe Western Michigan on Saturday, the Bobcats have qualified for the postseason once again.

Ohio won their sixth game of the season behind 275 passing yards from Kurtis Rourke and one touchdown pass. Receiver Sam Wiglusz also turned in a career day with ten catches for 155 yards and a touchdown.

The Bobcats totaled 460 yards of offense, their second-highest total of the year. It's also just the second time this season that Ohio has totaled more than 400 yards of offense.

This is the second consecutive season that the Bobcats have reached bowl eligibility and the second time under head coach Tim Albin. Albin was hired prior to the 2021 season.

From 2005 to 2020, the Bobcats played a postseason game 11 times in 16 seasons under previous head coach Frank Solich. The Bobcats are 6-8 all-time in bowl games.

The Bobcats improve to 6-2 overall with a 3-1 record in MAC play. They'll face one of their toughest G5 tests yet when they host the Miami Redhawks in Week 9. Timing and broadcast info for that game are still to be finalized.
