Ohio State RB Trey Sermon declares for 2021 NFL Draft

Trey Sermon transferred from Oklahoma to Ohio State for the 2020 college football season. On Sunday, he announced his career with the Buckeyes is over after just one season.

The star running back announced via social media that he has declared for the 2021 NFL Draft. Like many seniors, Sermon had a decision to make because the NCAA decided that the 2020 season did not count toward a player's eligibility.

In his final collegiate season at Ohio State, Sermon had 116 carries for 870 yards and four touchdowns with 12 catches for 95 yards. He got out to a slow start, but ended up setting a school record with a 331-yard, two-touchdown performance in the Big Ten Championship Game against Northwestern.

Sermon had 455 carries for 2,946 yards and 26 touchdowns in his four-year career with 48 catches for 486 yards and three scores.
